Product information "Human E-Cad (E-Cadherin) Microsample ELISA Kit"
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human E-Cad. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Human E-Cad. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Human E-Cad, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Human E-Cad in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.Detection Range: 0.32-20 ng/mL. Sensitivity: 0.11 ng/mL. Assay Type: Sandwich. Standard: 20 ng/mL. Sample Type: sserum, plasma, urine, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. Assay duration: 3.5h. Protein Function: Cadherins are calcium-dependent cell adhesion proteins (PubMed:11976333). They preferentially interact with themselves in a homophilic manner in connecting cells, cadherins may thus contribute to the sorting of heterogeneous cell types. CDH1 is involved in mechanisms regulating cell-cell adhesions, mobility and proliferation of epithelial cells (PubMed:11976333). Promotes organization of radial actin fiber structure and cellular response to contractile forces, via its interaction with AMOTL2 which facilitates anchoring of radial actin fibers to CDH1 junction complexes at the cell membrane (By similarity). Plays a role in the early stages of desmosome cell-cell junction formation via facilitating the recruitment of DSG2 and DSP to desmosome plaques (PubMed:29999492). Has a potent invasive suppressor role. It is a ligand for integrin alpha-E/beta-7 , E-Cad/CTF2 promotes non-amyloidogenic degradation of Abeta precursors. Has a strong inhibitory effect on APP C99 and C83 production , (Microbial infection) Serves as a receptor for Listeria monocytogenes, internalin A (InlA) binds to this protein and promotes uptake of the bacteria [The Uniprot Consortium]
