Human DNASE2 (Deoxyribonuclease-2-alpha) ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is a pre-coated immunoassay with a high sensitivity and broad range and has been designed to measure Human DNASE2 (Deoxyribonuclease-2-alpha) in serum, plasma & cell culture supernatant samples. The Human DNASE2 (Deoxyribonuclease-2-alpha) ELISA Kit accurately measures natural Human DNASE2 (Deoxyribonuclease-2-alpha) levels quantified versus standard curves obtained and is based on antibodies raised against a recombinant Human DNASE2 (Deoxyribonuclease-2-alpha) peptide. Protein function: Hydrolyzes DNA under acidic conditions with a preference for double-stranded DNA. Plays a major role in the degradation of nuclear DNA in cellular apoptosis during development. Necessary for proper fetal development and for definitive erythropoiesis in fetal liver, where it degrades nuclear DNA expelled from erythroid precursor cells. [The UniProt Consortium]
