Product information "Human CD209 (CD209 Antigen) Microsample ELISA Kit"
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human CD209. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Human CD209. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Human CD209, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Human CD209 in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.Detection Range: 78.13-5000 pg/mL. Sensitivity: 25.9 pg/mL. Assay Type: Sandwich. Standard: 5000 pg/mL. Sample Type: sSerum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Assay duration: 3.5h. Protein Function: Pathogen-recognition receptor expressed on the surface of immature dendritic cells (DCs) and involved in initiation of primary immune response. Thought to mediate the endocytosis of pathogens which are subsequently degraded in lysosomal compartments. The receptor returns to the cell membrane surface and the pathogen-derived antigens are presented to resting T-cells via MHC class II proteins to initiate the adaptive immune response , On DCs it is a high affinity receptor for ICAM2 and ICAM3 by binding to mannose-like carbohydrates. May act as a DC rolling receptor that mediates transendothelial migration of DC presursors from blood to tissues by binding endothelial ICAM2.
