Human Anti-CD74 (Anti-HLA class II histocompatibility antigen gamma chain Antibody) ELISA Kit

The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human Anti-CD74. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Human Anti-CD74. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Human Anti-CD74, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Human Anti-CD74 in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.Detection Range: 1.57-100 ng/mL. Sensitivity: 0.63 ng/mL. Serves as cell surface receptor for the cytokine MIF , Binds to the peptide-binding site of MHC class II alpha/beta heterodimers forming an alpha-beta-CLIP complex, thereby preventing the loading of antigenic peptides to the MHC class II complex until its release by HLA-DM in the endosome , Stabilizes the conformation of mature CTSL by binding to its active site and serving as a chaperone to help maintain a pool of mature enzyme in endocytic compartments and extracellular space of antigen-presenting cells (APCs). Has antiviral activity by stymieing the endosomal entry of Ebola virus and coronaviruses, including SARS-CoV-2 (PubMed:32855215).
