ELISA and Immunoassays

Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is a biochemical technique to detect the presence of an antibody or an antigen in a sample. Whereas an indirect ELISA is used to determine the amount of antibodies to a specific antigen in a sample, a Sandwich-ELISA is used to determine the concentration of the analyte by use of antibodies that bind to the analyte (and a standard). A different way of determining the analyte concentration is a competitive ELISA, often called EIA. This technique is preferred for small analytes.

Human TNFsRI ELISA Kit

Item number: SCC-EK0528

TNFsRI (also known as soluble tumor necrosis factor receptor 1) is a cytokine receptor that binds tumor necrosis factors (TNF). Chan et al. (2000) found that in contrast to the p60 (TNFRSF1A) and p80 (TNFRSF1B, 191191), in the absence of a ligand, TNFA receptors self-assemble through a distinct functional domain in...

Human P-Cadherin ELISA Kit
Human P-Cadherin ELISA Kit

Item number: SCC-EK0667

Cadherins are calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion molecules that mediate cell-cell binding in a homophilic manner. They play an important role in the growth and development of cells through maintenance of tissue architecture and tissue integrity. Cadherin expression is regulated spatially as well as temporally....

Mouse P-Cadherin ELISA Kit
Mouse P-Cadherin ELISA Kit

Item number: SCC-EK0668

P-Cadherin, also known as Cadherin-3 (CDH3), is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CDH3 gene. This gene is a classical cadherin from the cadherin superfamily. This gene is located in a six-cadherin cluster in a region on the long arm of chromosome 16. It is involved in the loss of heterozygosity events in...

Mouse CD40/TNFRSF5 ELISA Kit

Item number: SCC-EK0703

CD40 is a cell surface receptor that is expressed on the surface of all mature B cells, most mature B-cell malignancies, and some early B-cell acute lymphocytic leukemias, but is not expressed on plasma cells. The CD40 gene is localized to the long arm of chromosome 20, bands q12-q13.2. The protein encoded by this...
