Hsp90alpha (N-Terminal) Geldanamycin Competitive Inhibitor Assay Kit

The HSP90alpha (N-Terminal) Geldanamycin Competitive Inhibitor Assay Kit is a competitive FP (fluorescence polarization), homogeneous assay kit designed to measure the formation of a complex between the N-terminal region of HSP90alpha (heat shock protein 90 alpha) and a fluorescent probe that contains the HSP90 inhibitor geldanamycin. When the probe is bound to HSP90alpha, FP is high. In the presence of a test compound able to bind to the same site in HSP90alpha as geldanamycin, the geldanamycin-containing fluorescent probe is displaced from HSP90alpha and remains in solution, resulting in low FP. This kit comes in a convenient 96-well format, with enough purified recombinant HSP90alpha enzyme, FITC-labeled geldanamycin, and HSP90 assay buffer for 100 enzyme reactions.
