Anti-Lambda Light Chain

This monoclonal antibody is specific to lambda light chain of immunoglobulin and shows no cross-reaction with lambda light chain or any of the five heavy chains. In mammals, the two light chains in an antibody are always identical, with only one type of light chain, kappa or lambda. The ratio of Kappa to Lambda is 70:30. However, with the occurrence of multiple myeloma or other B-cell malignancies this ratio is disturbed. Antibody to the lambda light chain is reportedly useful in the identification of leukemias, plasmacytomas, and certain non-Hodgkin's lymphomas. Demonstration of clonality in lymphoid infiltrates indicates that the infiltrate is malignant. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml, Flow Cytometry: 0.5-1ug/10e6 cells, Immunofluorescence: 1-2ug/ml, Immunoprecipitation: 1-2ug/500ug protein lysate, Immunohistochemistry (Frozen & Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 0.5-1ug/ml/30min @ RT, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Cellular Localization: Cell Surface, cytoplasmic and secreted, Positive Control: 293 T, Raji or hPBL cells. Tonsil or Spleen, Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
