Product information "Anti-Human SPOCK1 Antibody Pair"
Product Description: SPARC (osteonectin), cwcv and kazal like domains proteoglycan 1 (SPOCK1) is a multidomain proteoglycan belonging to the SPARC family, consisting of an N-terminus, follistatin-like domain, extracellular calcium-binding domain, and a C-terminus with thyropin and Kazal-like domains. It contains both heparan and chondroitin sulfate chains, distinguishing it from SPOCK2 and SPOCK3. SPOCK1 is widely expressed in tissues including brain, cartilage, and vascular endothelium, playing roles in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, extracellular matrix regulation, and neurodevelopment. The protein is involved in various cellular processes such as adhesion, proliferation, and apoptosis. In pathological conditions, SPOCK1 has been implicated in cancer progression, particularly in promoting epithelial-mesenchymal transition, invasion, and metastasis through activation of signaling pathways like PI3K/Akt and Wnt/beta-catenin. Overexpression of SPOCK1 is associated with poor clinical outcomes in several cancer types. Protein Function: May play a role in cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. May contribute to various neuronal mechanisms in the central nervous system [The Uniprot Consortium]
