Product Description: Seizure related 6 homolog like 2 (SEZ6L2) is a protein primarily expressed in the brain, particularly in regions such as the cerebral cortex and hippocampus. It is localized on the cell surface and may contribute to specialized endoplasmic reticulum functions in neurons. SEZ6L2 belongs to the SEZ6 family and is O-glycosylated with core 1 or possibly core 8 glycans. The protein has been shown to inhibit complement by facilitating Factor I-mediated cleavage of C3b, suggesting a role in immune regulation.
