Product Description: RAN Binding Protein 3 (RANBP3) is a nuclear protein critical for nucleocytoplasmic transport and mitotic regulation. It acts as a cofactor for XPO1/CRM1, enhancing RAN-GTP binding to exportin XPO1, thereby facilitating the nuclear export of proteins with nuclear export signals (NES). RANBP3 also interacts with RAN GTPase to regulate mitotic spindle assembly, ensuring accurate chromosome segregation. Predominantly localized in the nucleus, it exhibits molecular functions such as RAN GTPase and exportin binding. Its activity is modulated by phosphorylation during the cell cycle. In disease contexts, RANBP3 is linked to cancer, particularly colorectal and hepatocellular carcinomas.
