It is expressed in B cell lineage cells and interacts with receptors TNFRSF13B/TACI, TNFRSF17/BCMA, and TNFRSF13C/BAFFR. BAFF is involved in the stimulation of B- and T-cell function and the regulation of humoral immunity.
