Product Description: TCL1 family AKT coactivator B (TCL1B), or T-cell leukemia/lymphoma protein 1B, is a protein encoded by the TCL1B gene in humans. It functions as an AKT kinase co-activator, enhancing the phosphorylation and activation of AKT1 and AKT2. TCL1B exhibits protein kinase binding activity and protein serine/threonine kinase activator activity, playing a role in intracellular signal transduction. The protein is involved in positive regulation of peptidyl-serine phosphorylation and protein kinase B signaling. TCL1B is expressed in CD4-/CD8- immature T-cells, pre B-cells, and virgin B-cells, with expression decreasing at more mature stages of B-cell development. Overexpression of TCL1B has been implicated in the development of mature T-cell leukemia, with chromosomal rearrangements bringing the gene in close proximity to T-cell antigen receptor regulatory elements. Additionally, TCL1B has been associated with lymphatic system diseases and immune system disorders.
