Product Description: Transcription factor 20 (TCF20) is a nuclear protein encoded by the TCF20 gene that functions primarily as a transcriptional coactivator, binding to regulatory DNA elements such as the platelet-derived growth factor-responsive element in the matrix metalloproteinase 3 (MMP3) promoter and controlling stromelysin expression. TCF20 displays DNA-binding and transactivation activities, enhancing the function of multiple transcription factors including JUN, SP1, PAX6, and others, thereby influencing a wide range of physiological processes such as DNA damage repair, epigenetic gene regulation, protein modification, signal transduction, cellular proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, neuronal and synaptic development, immune response, and lipid metabolism.
