Product information "Anti-Human SIRPG Antibody Pair"
Product Description: Signal regulatory protein gamma (SIRPG) is a member of the signal regulatory protein (SIRP) family, which plays a role in immune cell signaling and adhesion. Encoded by the SIRPG gene, SIRPG is predominantly expressed on immune cells such as T cells and dendritic cells. Structurally, it contains extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains that mediate interactions with CD47, a ligand involved in cell-cell communication and immune regulation. Unlike other SIRP family members, SIRPG lacks significant intracellular signaling motifs, suggesting its primary role is in adhesion rather than signal transduction. The interaction between SIRPG and CD47 facilitates T-cell activation and dendritic cell function, contributing to immune surveillance. Mutations or dysregulation of SIRPG have been associated with impaired immune responses, potentially affecting conditions such as cancer or autoimmune diseases. Protein Function: Probable immunoglobulin-like cell surface receptor. On binding with CD47, mediates cell-cell adhesion. Engagement on T-cells by CD47 on antigen-presenting cells results in enhanced antigen-specific T-cell proliferation and costimulates T-cell activation [The Uniprot Consortium]
