Product Description: Sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin 6 (SIGLEC6) is a transmembrane protein belonging to the SIGLEC family, primarily expressed in placenta, mast cells, and memory B-cells. It functions as an immunoreceptor that binds sialyl-TN glycans and leptin, playing a role in cell adhesion and migration, particularly in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). In CLL, SIGLEC6 is implicated in the interaction of B-cells with bone marrow stromal cells, affecting their migration and survival. Dysregulation of SIGLEC6 is associated with diseases such as indolent systemic mastocytosis and gestational trophoblastic disease, where it contributes to aberrant cellular proliferation and invasion.
