Product Description: Semaphorin-6C (SEMA6C) is a member of the semaphorin family of proteins, which are primarily known for their roles in axon guidance and neuronal development. SEMA6C is a transmembrane protein that interacts with various receptors, including plexins, to mediate signaling pathways essential for cell communication and migration. Recent studies have highlighted its involvement in cancer biology, where SEMA6C expression is linked to tumor growth and progression. Specifically, silencing SEMA6C in cancer cells leads to growth arrest and increased levels of cell cycle inhibitors, indicating its role in promoting cell proliferation.
