Product Description: Semaphorin 3F (SEMA3F) is a secreted protein belonging to the class 3 semaphorin family, which plays a crucial role in axon guidance and has been implicated in tumor suppression and vascular biology. SEMA3F acts by binding to its receptor, neuropilin-2 (NRP2), to repel endothelial cells and inhibit angiogenesis, thereby suppressing tumor growth and metastasis. The protein is characterized by a sema domain, an immunoglobulin domain, and a basic domain at the C terminus. In the context of disease, SEMA3F expression is consistently downregulated in highly metastatic tumor cells, including those of prostate, bladder, and melanoma cancers, suggesting its role as a tumor suppressor.
