Product information "Anti-Human Plastin L Antibody Pair"
Product Description: Lymphocyte cytosolic protein 1 (LCP1), also known as plastin-2, is an actin-binding protein that plays a crucial role in cell processes and immune cell activity. It is specifically expressed in hemopoietic cell lineages and has been found in many types of malignant human cells of non-hemopoietic origin, suggesting its expression is induced during tumorigenesis in solid tissues. LCP1 has been identified as a potential biomarker for various cancers, including triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), where high expression of LCP1 is associated with favorable survival outcomes and immune cell infiltration, particularly M1 and M2 macrophages. Its functions extend to the immune system, affecting the behavior of various immune cells such as macrophages, neutrophils, B-cells, and T-cells. Protein Function: Actin-binding protein (PubMed:16636079, PubMed:17294403, PubMed:28493397). Plays a role in the activation of T-cells in response to costimulation through TCR/CD3 and CD2 or CD28 (PubMed:17294403). Modulates the cell surface expression of IL2RA/CD25 and CD69 (PubMed:17294403) [The Uniprot Consortium]
