Product Description: Neural precursor cell expressed, developmentally down-regulated 9 (NEDD9) is a non-catalytic scaffolding protein that plays a crucial role in regulating multiple cellular processes, including cell migration, invasion, and metastasis in various cancers. It contains several functional domains, including an N-terminal SH3 domain, a substrate domain, a serine-rich region, and a C-terminal domain with a focal adhesion targeting (FAT) function and a SRC-binding motif. NEDD9 is involved in the signaling crosstalk between integrins and receptor tyrosine kinases, such as EGFR, and its overexpression has been associated with aggressive tumor behavior and poor prognosis in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), breast cancer, melanoma, and other malignancies. The protein is subject to post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation and proteasomal degradation, which influence its scaffolding activity and localization.
