Product information "Anti-Human LILRA5 Antibody Pair"
Product Description: Leukocyte immunoglobulin like receptor A5 (LILRA5) is a member of the LIR family, which regulates leukocyte activation and innate immune responses. It exists in membrane-bound and soluble forms, with the transmembrane variant containing a short cytoplasmic domain and a charged arginine residue. LILRA5 cross-linking on monocytes induces calcium flux and secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines, including IL-10, highlighting its role in inflammation. It interacts with signaling molecules such as Src tyrosine kinases and Spleen tyrosine kinase (Syk), contributing to immune regulation. The receptor is encoded by the LILRA5 gene located on chromosome 19q13.4, with multiple transcript variants reported. LILRA5 expression is elevated in synovial tissue macrophages and synovial fluid in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) but not osteoarthritis, suggesting its involvement in RA pathogenesis. Protein Function: May play a role in triggering innate immune responses. Does not seem to play a role for any class I MHC antigen recognition [The Uniprot Consortium]
