Product Description: Integrin subunit alpha 6 (ITGA6) is a crucial membrane protein that forms part of the integrin family, which are heterodimeric receptors composed of alpha and beta chains. ITGA6 primarily associates with beta 4 (alpha6beta4) and beta 1 (alpha6beta1) to facilitate cell adhesion and signaling, particularly in epithelial cells where it plays a vital role in maintaining skin integrity through hemidesmosomes.
