Product information "Anti-Human ICOSLG Antibody Pair"
Product Description: Inducible T cell costimulator ligand (ICOSLG), also known as B7-H2 or B7RP-1, is a B7-related transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in T cell activation and costimulation. It binds to the inducible T cell costimulator (ICOS) on activated T cells, delivering a positive costimulatory signal for optimal T cell function. Structurally, ICOSLG consists of extracellular IgV and IgC domains, with the IgV domain being essential for receptor binding and the IgC domain maintaining the protein's structural integrity. The receptor binding site on ICOSLG is primarily composed of aromatic/hydrophobic residues located on the GFCC'C'' beta-sheet face of the IgV domain, similar to the B7-1/B7-2 motifs that recognize CD28/CTLA-4. ICOSLG is involved in the T cell receptor signaling pathway and positively regulates interleukin-4 production. Its dysregulation can impact immune responses and potentially contribute to various immune-related disorders. Protein Function: Ligand for the T-cell-specific cell surface receptor ICOS. Acts as a costimulatory signal for T-cell proliferation and cytokine secretion (PubMed:11007762, PubMed:11023515, PubMed:30498080). Also induces B-cell proliferation and differentiation into plasma cells. Could play an important role in mediating local tissue responses to inflammatory conditions, as well as in modulating the secondary immune response by co-stimulating memory T-cell function (By similarity). In endothelial cells, required for proper neutrophil transmigration in response to chemoattractants, such as CXCL8/IL8 or N-formyl-methionyl peptides (fMLP) (PubMed:30498080) [The Uniprot Consortium]
