Product information "Anti-Human GCET1 Antibody Pair"
Product Description: Serpin family A member 9 (SERPINA9) is a member of the serine protease inhibitor (serpin) family, encoded by the SERPINA9 gene. This secreted glycoprotein (45.9 kDa) contains a conserved serpin domain that facilitates its role in regulating proteolytic enzymes, particularly in the endoplasmic reticulum. SERPINA9 is primarily expressed in B-lymphocytes and lymphoid tissues, where it may inhibit proteases involved in antigen processing or apoptosis. Structural studies reveal its reactive center loop (RCL) mediates target protease inhibition through a conformational "suicide substrate" mechanism typical of serpins. SERPINA9 is implicated in B-cell maturation and germinal center formation. Dysregulation of SERPINA9 has been linked to B-cell malignancies, such as diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), where reduced expression correlates with tumor progression and immune evasion. Additionally, rare mutations may contribute to immunodeficiency disorders by disrupting protease regulation in lymphoid cells. Protein Function: Protease inhibitor that inhibits trypsin and trypsin-like serine proteases (in vitro). Inhibits plasmin and thrombin with lower efficiency (in vitro) [The Uniprot Consortium]
