Product information "Anti-Human EDIL3 Antibody Pair"
Product Description: EGF like repeats and discoidin domains 3 (EDIL3), also known as DEL-1, is a glycoprotein comprising three epidermal growth factor (EGF)-like repeats and two discoidin I-like domains. It contains an Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) motif that facilitates binding to integrins, particularly alphavbeta3 and alpha5beta1, influencing cell adhesion, migration, and angiogenesis. EDIL3 plays a pivotal role in embryonic development, vascular morphogenesis, and osteoblast differentiation by activating the ERK/Runx2 pathway. It also modulates inflammation and immune responses by preventing leukocyte adhesion to endothelial cells. In pathological contexts, EDIL3 is implicated in cancer progression, including hepatocellular carcinoma, gastric cancer, and colon cancer, where its overexpression promotes tumor angiogenesis, proliferation, and immune infiltration. It has also been linked to keloid formation and dilated cardiomyopathy. Protein Function: Promotes adhesion of endothelial cells through interaction with the alpha-v/beta-3 integrin receptor. Inhibits formation of vascular-like structures. May be involved in regulation of vascular morphogenesis of remodeling in embryonic development [The Uniprot Consortium]
