Product Description: DLG associated protein 4 (DLGAP4), also known as SAPAP-4, is a membrane-associated guanylate kinase predominantly found at the postsynaptic density of neuronal cells, where it plays a crucial role in synaptic organization and neuronal signaling. DLGAP4 functions as a scaffold protein, interacting with key synaptic proteins such as PSD-95 and potassium channels, and is involved in clustering these molecules at the postsynaptic density, thereby facilitating efficient synaptic transmission and plasticity. It also participates in the organization of adherens junction components and actin cytoskeleton dynamics, which are essential for neuronal migration and the maintenance of radial glial cell structure during brain development. Multiple alternatively spliced isoforms of DLGAP4 exist, reflecting its diverse roles in the nervous system.
