Product information "Anti-Human DAPP1 Antibody Pair"
Product Description: Dual adaptor of phosphotyrosine and 3-phosphoinositides 1 (DAPP1) is an adaptor protein characterized by its amino-terminal Src homology 2 (SH2) domain and carboxy-terminal pleckstrin homology (PH) domain, allowing it to bind with high affinity to tyrosine-phosphorylated proteins and specific phosphoinositides like PtdIns(3,4,5)P3 and PtdIns(3,4)P2. Expressed widely in cells, DAPP1 regulates signaling pathways by linking tyrosine kinase signaling and phosphoinositide metabolism, thereby modulating cellular responses to extracellular stimuli. It is especially involved in B-cell receptor (BCR) signaling downstream of phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K), influencing immune cell activation and function. Dysregulation or aberrant expression of DAPP1 has been implicated in immune system disorders, including potential roles in autoimmunity and lymphoma due to its critical role in B-cell signaling. Thus, DAPP1 is essential for normal immune function, and its malfunction can contribute to disease states involving immune dysregulation. Protein Function: May act as a B-cell-associated adapter that regulates B-cell antigen receptor (BCR)-signaling downstream of PI3K [The Uniprot Consortium]
