Anti-Human CRTAC1 Antibody Pair

Product Description: Cartilage acidic protein 1 (CRTAC1) is a 95 kDa glycosylated extracellular matrix protein found in the interterritorial matrix of articular deep zone cartilage. It contains four FG-GAP domains and one EGF-like domain, with an integrin-binding RGD motif present in humans but absent in mice and rats. CRTAC1 is secreted by chondrocytes and used as a marker to distinguish chondrocytes from osteoblasts and mesenchymal stem cells in culture. It may be involved in cell-cell or cell-matrix interactions due to its structural features. Recent studies have identified CRTAC1 as a promising biomarker for osteoarthritis (OA). Elevated levels of CRTAC1 in plasma and synovial fluid have been associated with OA risk, disease severity, and progression to joint replacement. CRTAC1 levels in synovial fluid may better reflect pain and severity of joint involvement compared to plasma levels.
