Product Description: C-C motif chemokine ligand 25 (CCL25), also known as Thymus-Expressed Chemokine (TECK), is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. It plays a crucial role in the development of T-cells by attracting thymocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells through its interaction with the chemokine receptor CCR9. The human CCL25 protein is produced as a precursor containing 151 amino acids, and its gene is located on chromosome 19. CCL25 has been implicated in various biological processes, including the regulation of colorectal cancer and the formation of osteoclasts from RA macrophages. Additionally, it exhibits antimicrobial properties, showing bacteriocidal activity against E. coli and S. aureus. Protein Function: Potentially involved in T-cell development.
