Product information "Anti-Human cardiac troponin IC complex Antibody Pair"
Product Description: The cardiac troponin I-C complex is a vital component in muscle contraction in both skeletal and cardiac muscle. This complex consists of three regulatory proteins: troponin C, troponin I, and troponin T. It plays a crucial role in detecting myocardial damage, with cardiac-specific troponins I and T being used as diagnostic and prognostic indicators for heart conditions. Elevated levels of cardiac troponins are sensitive and specific indicators of heart muscle damage, helping differentiate between unstable angina and myocardial infarction (heart attack). The stability of cTnI is significantly improved when it forms a complex with TnC or in a ternary complex with cTnT-TnC. Troponin is attached to tropomyosin in muscle tissue and, when stimulated by calcium, triggers muscle contraction by exposing binding sites for myosin on actin filaments. The cardiac troponin I-C complex is extensively used in immunoassays for detecting cTnI, aiding in the diagnosis and monitoring of heart conditions. Protein Function: Troponin I is the inhibitory subunit of troponin, the thin filament regulatory complex which confers calcium-sensitivity to striated muscle actomyosin ATPase activity [The Uniprot Consortium]
