Product Description: Artemin (ARTN) is a neurotrophic factor belonging to the glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) family of ligands. It plays a crucial role in the development and survival of neurons, particularly in the sympathetic nervous system and certain populations of central nervous system (CNS) neurons, including dopaminergic neurons. ARTN signals through the RET receptor tyrosine kinase and a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored co-receptor GFRalpha3, promoting neuronal differentiation, survival, and growth. It acts as a chemoattractant, guiding sympathetic fibers along blood vessels to their target tissues.
