Product information "Anti-Human ARHGAP1 Antibody Pair"
Product Description: Rho GTPase activating protein 1 (ARHGAP1) is a member of the RhoGAP family that functions as a GTPase activator for Rho family proteins, including Rho, Rac, and Cdc42, with a preference for Cdc42. By stimulating the intrinsic GTPase activity of these small GTPases, ARHGAP1 converts them from their active GTP-bound state to an inactive GDP-bound state, thereby regulating cytoskeletal dynamics, cell migration, and various signaling pathways. ARHGAP1 is predominantly localized in the cytosol and interacts with multiple proteins through its SH3 domain, influencing processes such as actin filament organization and cell adhesion. In the context of disease, ARHGAP1 has been implicated in viral infections, notably influenza, where it is transported with the viral genome to stabilize actin filaments, facilitating the clustering of viral hemagglutinin (HA) at the plasma membrane. This process is crucial for the structural integrity and immune evasion of progeny viral particles. Protein Function: GTPase activator for the Rho, Rac and Cdc42 proteins, converting them to the putatively inactive GDP-bound state. Cdc42 seems to be the preferred substrate [The Uniprot Consortium]
