Product Description: Apolipoprotein C-III (APOC3) is a protein that plays a key role in triglyceride metabolism and cardiovascular disease risk. Studies have shown that loss-of-function mutations in the APOC3 gene are associated with lower triglyceride levels and a reduced risk of ischemic cardiovascular disease and coronary heart disease. The mechanism by which APOC3 influences cardiovascular disease risk is multifaceted.
