Transfection Reagents

The term "transfection" refers to the introduction of nucleic acids into eukaryotic cells, whereby a distinction is made between transient transfection and stable transfection. In the first case, the transfected DNA remains episomal and leads to temporary protein expression, whereas in the second case the DNA is permanently integrated into the genome of the host cell. Transfecting cells allows the study of gene and protein function and expression and is therefore used in a variety of research fields. In this category you will find reagents with high transfection efficiency, including cationic polymers and compounds for lipofection.
