10x Buffer E is a 10x concentrated Strep-Tactin(R) elution buffer. The contained desthiobiotin is a modified form of biotin that displaces Strep-tag(R)II and Twin-Strep-tag(R) fusion proteins from the modified biotin-binding pocket of Strep-Tactin(R) in a competitive manner, resulting in a mild elution. Please note that 10x Buffer E is not applicable for elution from Strep-Tactin(R)XT resins.
