Peptone AT (Peptic Digest of Animal Tissue) is an enzymatic digest of meat tissue and a highly nutritious peptone capable of supporting the growth of many fastidious microorganisms. Appearance: Beige, free flowing, homogenous powder, Typical Analysis: Amino Nitrogen (AN): As Reported, Total Nitrogen: As Reported, Loss on Drying: As Reported, Ash: As Reported, Undigested Protein: Negative, Proteoses: Positive, Nitrites: Negative, pH (2%): 7.0±0.5, Growth Supporting Properties: Peptone Agar (USP): Satisfactory, Broth Formulations: Satisfactory, Standard Plate Count: <1000cfu/g, Coliforms: Negative, Salmonella: Negative/25g, Molds and Yeasts: <100cfu/g, Country of Origin: USA, Species: Bovine or porcine, , Certificate of Origin: The raw animal product used in the manufacturing of Peptone AT is derived from animal tissue originating in the USA. Peptone AT is processed in an ISO 9002 plant in Mexico. During processing of the product, a batch is heated to a minimum of 80°C for 1 hour including a minimum of 30 minutes at 105°C. The product is then dried at a minimum of 140°C.
