Excitation (nm): 341. Emission (nm): 441. Ac-Leu-Lys-Lys-Arg-AMC is a fluorogenic aminopeptidase and endopeptidase substrate. It might be used as a fluorogenic probe for detecting thrombin and metacaspases. Metacaspases are found in plants, fungi, and protozoa. They are cysteine-proteases and are distantly related to metazoan caspases. The protease activity is quantified by release of free fluorescent 7-amino-4-methylcoumarin (AMC) which excites at 360-380 nm and emits at 440-460 nm.
