Katacalcin (trifluoroacetate salt)

Katacalcin is an endogenous peptide (121-141) encoded by the CALCA gene and is expressed in, and secreted from, thyroid parafollicular cells in humans. Unlike calcitonin (Cay-24409), a calcium regulating peptide hormone, katacalcin does not affect serum calcium levels.
