ACTH (6-24) is a peptide fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH, Cay-24257), a peptide hormone found in the brain that is involved in the biological stress response. ACTH (6-24) is a competitive inhibitor of steroidogenesis induced by ACTH (1-39) and ACTH (5-24) with mean Kd values of 13.4 and 3.4 nM, respectively.
