Leukopaks

Bei einem Leukopak handelt es sich um ein angereichertes Blutprodukt, welches aus normalem, peripheren Blut durch den Vorgang der Leukophorese gewonnen wird. Dabei wird das Blut in einem Zellseparator zentrifugiert, weiße Blutzellen werden selektiv entfernt und das übrige Blut wird dem Patienten zurückgeführt. Die Leukopaks unseres Partners Research Donors enthalten mit über 10 Milliarden Zellen eine höhere Konzentration an Leukozyten als eine Standard-Blutprobe oder ein Buffy Coat. Daher sind Leukopaks interessant für Forscher, die eine große Anzahl an Leukozyten von demselben Spender benötigen. Sie werden aufgrund der hochkonzentrierten Zellzahl in der Zelltherapie-Forschung (zum Beispiel CAR-T), im Bereich der Toxikologie und in Hochdurchsatz-Medikamenten-Screenings verwendet.
