Anti-phospho-cdc2, p34 (Ser/Thr) (Maturation Promoting Factor, MPF), clone 2Q305

Cdk1/p34cdc2 protein kinase is a catalytic subunit of Maturation Promoting Factor. p34cdc2, a serine/threonine kinase, is activated by cyclins, presumably by dephosphorylation of tyrosine residues. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot and Kinase Assay. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunoprecipitation (Native, denatured): 2ug/mg protein lysate using Protein A., Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/paraffin, frozen): 2-4ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT. Paraffin sections require antigen retrieval., Western Blot: 2ug/ml for 2 hours at RT., Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Positive Controls: HeLa or NIH3T3 cells, germinal center in a tonsil or reactive lymph node. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
