Anti-Somatostatin Receptor Type 5 (SSTr5)

Somatostatin Receptor type 5 (SSTR5) is one of five 7-transmembrane G-protein-coupled receptors for somatostatins 14 and 28. Within the extracellular portions, human SSTR5 shares 65% and 68% aa identity with mouse and rat SSTR5, respectively. It is expressed in adult pituitary, heart, small intestine, adrenal gland, cerebellum and fetal hypothalamus. It is an inhibitory receptor that transduces the antiproliferative and antisecretive effects of somatostatins. , , Applications: , Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 2.5ug/10e6 cells using MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line fixed with paraformaldehyde and pemeabilized with saponin. , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. , , Storage and Stability:, Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
