Anti-Single-minded Homolog 2 (SIM2)

Single-minded homolog 2 is a transcription factor that may be a master gene of CNS development in cooperation with Arnt. It may have pleiotropic effects in the tisues expressed during development. Efficient DNA binding requires dimerisation with another bHLH protein. It forms a heterodimer with ARNT. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, ddH2O. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. Aliquot and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
