Anti-PTX3 (Long Pentraxin, TSG14)

Pentraxin 3 (PTX3), also known as TSG-14, belongs to the pentraxin family, which was named originally for the homopentameric structure formed by its members. PTX3/TSG-14 is a long pentraxin that contains a pentraxin-like domain at its carboxy-terminus with amino acid sequence similarity with short pentraxins (C-reactive protein and serum amyloid P component). PTX3 is a marker of the acute phase response and is highly expressed in advanced atherosclerotic plaques. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
