15-Hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (15-PGDH) is a novel tumor suppressor in the COX-2 pathway. The protein is found in many normal tissues and appears to be down-regulated in colorectal and lung carcinoma tissue. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry (paraffin-embedded sections). Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: bands may be seen at 29kD and 58kD., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Cellular Localization: Cytoplasmic , Positive Control: Treated A549 lung carcinoma cell lysates (see note) and LoVo colon carcinoma cell lysates. Storage and Stability: , May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
