Anti-MSR1 (Macrophage Scavenger Receptor Types I and II, Macrophage Acetylated LDL Receptor I and II

Macrophage Scavenger Receptor 1 (MSR1) is one isoform of the class A scavenger receptor. It is a trimeric type II membrane protein expressed by macrophages, dendritic cells, Kupffer cells, and microglia. MSR1 binds a broad range of polyanionic ligands including modified proteins, polyribonucleotides, polysaccharides, phospholipids, bacterial products, and some chemical compounds. MSR1 plays a role in atherogenesis and the immune response. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 1x10e6 cells using RAW264.7 cells., Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Flow Cytometry Protocol: 1. Cells may be Fc-blocked with 1ug of mouse IgG/10e5 cells for 15 minutes at RT. Do not wash excess blocking IgG from this reaction., 2. After blocking, 10ul of M1210-04L was added to 1x10e6 cells and incubated for 30 minutes at RT., 3. Unbound antibody was removed by washing the cells twice in Flow Cytometry Staining Buffer (Catalog # F4568-10). Note that whole blood requires a RBC lysis step at this point using Flow Cytometry Mouse Lyse Buffer., 4. The cells were resuspended in F4568-10 for final flow cytometric analysis. As a control for this analysis, cells in a separate tube should be treated with PE-labeled rat IgG2B antibody. This procedure may need to be modified depending upon the cell type and final utilization. Individual users may need to titrate to determine the optimal reagent amount for their specific use, Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
