Lamins belong to the intermediate filament family of proteins. They are structural components of the nuclear lamina and are thought to be involved in nuclear stability, chromatin structure and gene expression. There are two main types of lamins, A and B. Alternative splicing of the Type A lamin gene produces at least 2 isoforms, Lamin A and Lamin C. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. , Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 2.0ug/ml, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin and Formalin): 1-2.0ug/ml, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
