Also known as JmjC domain-containing protein 6. This gene encodes a nuclear protein with a JmjC domain. JmjC domain-containing proteins are predicted to function as protein hydroxylases or histone demethylases. It functions in differentiation of multiple tissues during development, and in anti-inflammatory cytokine signaling. This protein was first identified as a putative phosphatidylserine receptor involved in phagocytosis of apoptotic cells, however, subsequent studies have suggested that the protein may cross-react with a monoclonal antibody that recognizes the phosphatidylserine receptor and does not directly function in the clearance of apoptotic cells. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000, Western Blot: 1:250-1:500 , Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
