Anti-Interleukin 22 (IL-22, IL-10 Related T cell-derived Inducible Factor, IL-TIF)

Interleukin 22 (IL-22), also called IL-10-related T cell-derived inducible factor or IL-TIF, is a secreted cytokine that contributes to the inflammatory response in vivo. IL-22 is expressed in T cells and mast cells in response to IL-9 or lipopolysaccharide. IL-22 monomers bind to a class II cytokine receptor that is a heterodimer of CRF2-9 (IL-22 Ra1) and CRF2-4 (IL-10 Rb). Human IL-22 is a 179aa protein with a 33aa signal peptide, three N-glycosylation sites and two intramolecular disulfide bonds, the mature protein shows 81% and 77% aa identity with mouse and rat IL-22, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Neutralization. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Neutralization: Measured by its ability to neutralize IL-22­induced IL-10 secretion in the COLO 205 human colorectal adenocarcinoma cell line. Nagalakshmi, M.L. et al. (2004) Intl. Immunopharmacol. 4:679. The Neutralization Dose (ND50) is typically 1-5ug/ml in the presence of 1ng/ml recombinant human IL-22. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
