Applications:, ELISA Capture: Purified monoclonal antibody is the preferred capture antibody in a sandwich ELISA for quantifying human GM-CSF protein levels. Purified antibody should be paired with biotinylated antibody as the detection antibody, with purified recombinant human GM-CSF as the standard., Immunoprecipitation / Western Blotting: The purified antibody is also useful for immunoprecipitation and Western blotting applications. For Western blotting, a concentration of 1-5ug/ml (in conjunction with AP-labeled Goat Anti-Rat-Ig) has been found to enable detection of < 100ng/lane of recombinant human GM-CSF under reducing conditions., Neutralization: The LE/AF form of the antibody can be used for neutralizing human GM-CSF bioactivity. A suitable LE/AF Rat IgG2a should be used as an isotype control. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
