Anti-Ficolin 2 (Ficolin-B, Ficolin beta, L-Ficolin)

L-Ficolin (Ficolin-2) is an innate immunity pattern recognition molecule found in human serum. L-Ficolin binds to distinct pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMP), such as carbohydrates (GlcNAc), lipoteichoic acid and acetylated groups thereby facilitating phagocytosis and activation of complement through the lectin route using the same serine proteases as mannose-binding lectin (MBL) named MASP ((MBL)-associated serine protease) (1). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:4000, Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
